50. More Things You Need to Know About Stress Responses
Sometimes it can be really hard to shift our perspective and get curious about what we’re thinking in a specific moment. So in this episode, I’m expanding on what I’ve shared previously about stress responses, incorporating what I’ve learned from Call of the Wild, and sharing how this book has given me a really effective way of doing just that.
49. When You Feel Drained
I’m here to offer you that the way you’re thinking about that person, task, idea, situation, whatever, is actually what is creating that sensation of being drained. And in this short and sweet episode, I’m showing you exactly how this plays out.
48. The Real Key to Consistency
Consistency is great. I talk often about how small consistent changes can lead to huge changes in your life. And for sure, consistent effort creates expertise. But what I want to talk about today is the fact that it’s not required to have a meaningful, happy life and a successful career.
47. Understanding External Validation
I’m a big fan of relationships and I think social engagement is great and can be really wonderful for people. But, as humans, we no longer need other people to survive in the same way that we used to as we were evolving. We don’t live in small tribes anymore where if someone gets mad at us, we might get kicked out of the tribe.
46. Tools for Working Parents
It’s a lot of work and there are so many factors involved with having children, working, having a household, and honestly just being human and keeping ourselves alive. So in this episode, I’m sharing how some of the coaching tools I teach could improve your experience at work as well as your life as a parent, and show you how to opt-out of the societal expectations that mess with our brains.

No matter the motivation, whether it’s positive or negative emotion, if all we’re ever doing is working, burnout gets out of control. I’m sharing why Mellow Massive Action might be what you need to start working towards your goals in a more sustainable and consistent way.
42. Understanding Envy
Envy tells us so much about our desire. But when we make it mean something more than, “They have what I want, and I don’t have it,” our desire gets twisted up with this kind of bitterness. When we’re focused on what others have and what we don’t have, we miss out on focusing on what we do have or how we could create something similar.
41. Dealing with Rejection
Rejection is really an internal experience, and so many of us have this narrative running. Let’s say you send in 15 résumés, you hear nothing back, and your brain goes, “This is rejection. And it’s a problem.” But while it feels terrible, it’s more of an optional experience than you might think.
40. The Truth About Overachieving
Many of us have been overachieving for as long as we can remember, so tune in this week to discover how this might be to your detriment, and gain some awareness about whether it’s something you want to change. While overachieving isn’t necessarily a good or bad thing, understanding the drivers behind it will provide some valuable insight into how you want to move forward.
39. Gratitude and Appreciation
Gratitude is kind of a buzzword in the personal development space and there are countless proven emotional benefits of embracing gratitude. However, I also see people guilt-tripping themselves around gratitude, and that’s not helping anyone, so we’re diving deep into that side of gratitude this week.
38. Money and Compensation
There’s a Gloria Steinem quote in which she says, “The truth will set you free, but first it will piss you off”, and that might be your experience through today’s episode. You might feel called out or pissed off about what women are taught about money and compensation and how it plays out in our careers or even annoyed at how much money you’ve left on the table throughout your lifetime. But I invite you to stick with me anyway and discover why the way you think about money truly does matter.
37. The 50/50 Principle, Explained
I recently woke up in a bad mood and found myself bickering with my girlfriend all morning. I felt bad, but I had to remind myself that this is just one day. Sometimes I wake up in a great mood and I’m just a delight. And even after years of coaching, the work is still to see these more negative experiences in the context of the 50:50 of life as a whole. And that’s what I’m helping all of you do on today’s episode.
36. Coming Out at Work
Today’s episode centers around a very personal topic that I have experienced, and I know some of you may be going through something similar. And even if this isn’t something you’re dealing with, I invite you to listen along because, like with all things coaching, there will be something useful in here for you too despite the subject being directed at someone having a different life experience to you.

32. So, You Made a Mistake…
I’m currently in the process of packing up my home in Seattle and moving to California, and my brain is full of it right now. It’s offering me all kinds of thoughts about why moving to a different place could be a mistake.
31. How to Prioritize Your Work
I see way too many people not thinking intentionally when they’re deciding what to do next and the areas of their work they need to prioritize. So, if you already believe you don’t have enough time to get everything done, and you get stressed and panicked when you look at your to-do list, you need to hear what I’m sharing today.
